Sweet toothers rejoice as today in this blog we will be looking at the 8 best Dessert places in Vancouver. These range from delicious bubble teas, mouth watering ice cream, scrumptious donuts and gooey mochi. So without further ado, let’s dig in!
Macu Tea
If you're looking for a place where you can immediately sense that you'll be getting top-quality bubble tea and dessert drinks, Macu Tea is the spot for you! The ambiance of the place exudes modern vibes, and their impressive menu and unique bubble tea cups truly reflect their dedication to the craft. In addition to their amazing drinks, one of the standout features of this store is the option to upgrade to a bottle size for just $1-$2 more than a large. This then allows you to take home a personalised Macu Tea bottle. During our visit to the downtown location in Vancouver during the summer season, we were delighted by their special focus on a variety of fresh and delicious Mango dessert bubble teas. We highly recommend trying the 'King of Mango' drink, as it was absolutely delicious! For bubble tea enthusiasts like us, a visit to Macu Tea is a must-do!
Unique Bakery
Bree and I discovered this amazing place while exploring the Richmond area. What caught our attention right away was the incredible deal on bubble teas for only $5.50 CAD! Not only were they affordable, but they were also generously sized and absolutely delicious. One of the flavours that stood out to us was 'Pandan', a green plant commonly used in Southeast Asian desserts, which they incorporate into their bubble teas. However, our ultimate favourite was the honeydew melon with boba - it was truly exceptional and we would give it a perfect 10/10 rating! In addition to their fantastic bubble teas, they also offer a variety of pastries and breads, including our personal favourite the Oreo flavoured chocolate bread. If you're a fan of bubble tea and baked sweets then Unique Bakery is definitely a must visit dessert place in Vancouver.
Cream Pony
In North Vancouver, there's a charming little donut shop known as Cream Pony. You can treat yourself to a single donut for just $3.45CAD, and our top picks are the Pink Pony and the OG glaze! In addition to their delectable donuts, they also offer hot food options like fried chicken sandwiches and loaded potato tater tots, which we decided to try. If you visit during their happy hour from 2-5pm, you can enjoy loaded tater tots and a can of Windfall cider for only $8CAD. If you want a sweet treat when you explore the North of Vancouver then this place is a must!
Car's Dessert
Car's Dessert is recognised as one of the top 10 dessert places in Richmond. This cute shop specialises in the Japanese sweet treat known as Mochi, offering a variety of delicious flavors. On our visit we tried the fresh Mango & cream and the Hawaiian Purple Yam mochi. The Mango Mochi was absolutely delightful, offering a burst of amazing flavor. On the other hand, the Hawaiian Purple Yam Mochi had a more savory profile and wasn't quite to our liking. Despite this, at just around $3 CAD each, you really can't go wrong when indulging in Car’s Dessert's delicious Mochi!
Boba Run
Surprise surprise we have another Bubble tea place on our list but we just can’t help it, we love it too much! This place, known as Boba Run, is conveniently located in the Gastown area of Downtown Vancouver. It made it to our list due to its wide range of unique flavors and, of course, its amazing taste. One of their most popular drinks is the 'honeycomb dalgona latte', which features honeycomb pieces on top that slowly dissolve into your drink. It was absolutely delicious, and we'd go back there in a heartbeat just for that drink alone! In addition to their fantastic drinks, they also serve delicious Banh mi's, which we would highly recommend.
Soft peaks ice cream
A dessert blog wouldn't be complete without a recommendation for an exceptional ice cream place, and in our opinion, the best one is Soft Peaks. Soft Peaks participated in the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival, where they showcased limited-time creations and signature items throughout the festival period. At Soft Peaks, they specialise in creating a unique flavored ice cream each week. During our visit, they had a peach tea flavored ice cream, although it wasn't to our liking. However, the Mango Pudding and the Brown Sugar Pearls which we ordered off their regular menu, were truly amazing and some of the best ice cream we have ever had. If you find yourself in the areas of Gastown, Burnaby, or Richmond, we highly recommend heading over to Soft Peaks for some refreshingly delicious ice cream!
Lees Donuts
Located on Granville island inside the public market is the popular Lees Donuts. When it comes to delicious and fresh donuts, Lees Donuts offers a wide range of options that you simply can't miss out on. During our visit, we decided to try the lemon-filled and cookie monster donuts, and both of them were absolutely fantastic. However, the lemon-filled one stood out as one of the best donuts we've ever had! We enjoyed our donuts outside with a lovely view of the harbour, but it's important to be mindful of the seagulls as they might try to swoop in and snatch your food. Granville Island is an incredible place to explore, and taking a break to savour a donut at Lees Donuts is definitely a must-do activity!

Artly (Hidden Gem!)
Although not known specifically for desserts, this place is so cool that it's worth adding to the list. You can find this unique coffee shop, 'Artly', along Robson Street inside the shop called 'MUJI'. At 'Artly', a robot named Jarvis takes care of all the coffee and tea orders, making the experience truly one-of-a-kind. When you visit, simply head to the counter, select your desired drink on the device, and input your name. Then, depending on the number of orders, you will join the queue. Once it's your turn, Jarvis will call out your name and start preparing your drink, showcasing the futuristic technology in action. The process takes about 5 minutes and after your drink is ready, Jarvis will call your name again to let you know it's prepared. I personally tried a Dirty Taro Latte, and it was absolutely delicious. If you're seeking a distinctive coffee experience, a visit to Jarvis at Artly is a must-try!
